About the Artist:
T. Paul Wirebach is an artist living in Western Berks County, PA. He works in graphite, oils, watercolors, acrylics, and oil pastels. His work is influenced by regional folk art and historic architecture, classical themes and modern illustration. He studied a semester abroad at Buckinghamshire College in the United Kingdom. He graduated magna cum laude from Kutztown University in 1991, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design.
"I took a break from fine arts for about 25 years, raising a family and running my own graphic design firm. As my new role as 'empty nester' began to emerge, I decided to dust off the art table, break out the old media, and start working on a more serious body of work. " Though not yet retired from his career in design and web development, Tony puts the lion's share of his free time into creating art and custom frames, canvases, and display panels.
"I want to finish my work life the way it began — by exploring the uncharted territory of my own imagination." A rekindled interest in fine arts has made life more profound and meaningful for the artist. "The more artwork I make, the more ideas seem to come to me. The world becomes richer ... more textural, vibrant, and wonderous ... countless minute details jumping out at me from all directions. "
Tony lives with his wife, Jodi, and three dogs: Hannah, Zoey, and Cookie. He can be reached via email at tonyw@evgrfx.com
